Summer Porridge - What is that?

Apekah itu "Summer Porridge"? It sounded all warm and very tropical, but it is not. Summer porridge is actually a no-cook, very easy way to make a good oatmeal breakfast - you can prepare this the night before you want to eat it. Again, this healthy breakfast has been around for awhile - where was I? I'm not a big fan of oat, but surprisingly this doesn't taste like oat at all - it's like creamy puding with some texture and fruits!!!

So, my plan is to have this summer porridge as breakfast for as long as I can - rather than makan roti canai or nasi lemak (once in awhile boleh lah, haha!!!).
Vanilla Strawberry Summer Porridge

The Vanilla Strawberry Summer Porridge
1/4 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup milk or skim milk or almond milk
1/4 cup plain yogurt or Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon of dried chia seeds
1 teaspoon of vanilla flavoured syrup
1/4 to 1/3 cup of strawberries (cut in half), enough to fill jar

How to?
In a half pint (1 cup) jar, add in oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds and vanilla. Put lid on jar and shake until well combined. Remove the lid, add the strawberries and stir until mixed. Return lid to jar and refrigerate for at least 8 hours. Best to be eaten chilled.
