Iki's Wedding @ Kota Bharu 050610

I went to Kota Bharu, Kelantan last Friday (04/06/2010) for my cousin’s (Iki) wedding. It was a really long drive. To cut it short, we pushed off at around 7.30 a.m. and reached the service apartment at 7.00 p.m. (fuh, cramp kaki & buntut). Owh, we stayed at Pelangi Mall Condominium. It has four bedrooms & 3 bathrooms. All rooms are furnished, including the living hall & kitchen. The best thing is that Pasar Siti Khadijah is only around 10 minutes walking distance & 5 minutes drive, cool huh?

Since we arrived late & everyone was tired of the journey, we ate dinner at the restaurants below the apartment. Quite affordable and food was OK. Next morning, we shopped at Pasar Siti Khadijah from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m (sangat kebulur by 2 p.m.). Mama bought bekas paha, telekung, tudung; adek bought tudungs; I bought sampin for Hatta & his dad, telekung and tudung (yes, i bought tudung hehehe). Price was so cheap coz my aunt knew a few of the shop owners there, so we got 'special price and discounts'. :) We bought nasi & lauk at this nice place near masjid (ala2 tempat kraftangan) - I forgot the name..

Later that evening around 6, my aunt & uncle (Iki's parents) brougt us to PCB (Pantai Cahaya Bulan, not Cinta Berahi yer..). Well, the beach was not so nice anymore coz dah tambak2... I was quite frustrated. And the food there was so expensive. We were expecting something like ikan bakar, but there were only fish ball goreng tepung, udang goreng tepung, ikan keli gorent tepung, hot dog goreng tepung, basically everything is goreng tepung.. Frust frust frust...

Iki's solemnization was supposed to be on Saturday, 05/06/2010 at 9 p.m., but the Tok Kadi had an urgent matter and the ceremony was postponed to 10 p.m. I tell u, Iki was so nervous. But alhamdulillah everything went well with only satu lafaz nikah (hopefully Hatta will be calm and sekali lafaz je hehehe, ameen). After that we were served with Nasi Dagang!!! DELICIOUS (although it was already 10.45 p.m!!!)

Next day (Sunday) was the walimatulurus at 2 p.m.. Iki and Ruby both looked handsome and beautiful in gold songket. In Kelantan, they don't have Majlis Merenjis, but they have Majlis Bersalaman whereby the uncles, aunties, siblings & parents will salam and kiss the bride & bridegroom. Owh, on that day we ate Nasi Minyak. Lauk sedap and there were a few on Kelantan desert and kuih muih (most of it are sweet). We pushed off to KL at around 4.30 p.m.; I stayed awake during the journey back home via Gua Musang - don't think that there's a need to explain why...

Reached home at around 12 midnight - Alhamdulillah... And again congrates to Iki & Ruby~
